The Year Everything Shifted

2025 Truly Had It All

Before diving into the stories, here is a quick overview of what we have been up to this year.

Recap

We are getting closer to the end of the year, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything we have done in 2025.

It has been the opposite of a boring year. Some moments were challenging and many were incredibly rewarding. Through it all, we had the privilege of working with teams who trusted us and pushed us creatively.

Here are some of the highlights.

Superpower

This project felt special from the very beginning.

We teamed up with an old friend of mine, Landon. He was the CEO at Fitplan during the years I worked there as a Creative Director. Three of those years I lived in Vancouver while helping build their visual identity and product communication.

Landon joined Superpower as Head of Partnerships. We supported him and the Superpower team with pitch decks for potential collaborations with Soho House, SoulCycle and Nike.

We also created performance oriented motion pieces for advertising campaigns on Google and Meta. This project gave us the chance to use both strategy and creativity in a way that felt very natural for us.

Geewa

This one carries a lot of emotion.

In February, Ryan reached out to collaborate on Soulbound Legions, a game that was transitioning from hyper casual to hybrid casual. It took some time to fully understand the implications of that shift. The team was adding a meta layer and rethinking the gameplay, monetization and overall experience.

Our responsibility was to redesign the UI and help implement the new content. We were coming from an amazing collaboration with Matchday, and we were excited to bring the same level of motion and UI craft into this new project.

Ryan passed away unexpectedly in September. The project ended suddenly, and it was difficult to process. We are still grateful for the opportunity to work with him and with the team at Geewa.

May he rest in peace.

Yourbana

This project opened an entirely new creative space for us.

Yourbana is a new video art festival in Rome, supported by Mastercard and ATAC and organized by Human Artis. The festival brings video art into the city’s public spaces and introduces a contemporary visual culture to a wide audience.

We partnered with Angelica Barco Studio, who led the design strategy and creative thinking, and with Banila Studio, who shaped the brand identity.

Bisuala contributed by creating the motion design guidelines and developing a coherent motion language for all festival visuals across communication and promotional content.

It pushed us to explore a different type of storytelling and expand our creative practice.

From AI asset to animated emoji: our workflow step‑by‑step Hey there, motion lovers! In our recent article, “Using AI in Game Design Without Losing the Human Touch”, we reflected on how AI doesn't replace creativity—it amplifies it. We used tools like MidJourney to generate UI art assets for a mobile game, then refined and hand‑edited everything in Illustrator or Photoshop so that the final pieces carried our studio’s human judgement and craft. Project Naropa on Hold Concept Art for Naropa, by Mikel Benegas Hi Reader, This month I want to share a very personal story. As many of you know, at Bisuala we usually collaborate with game studios to bring motion design into their projects. But earlier this year we decided to do something different: produce our own game. Why Our Own Game We called it Naropa. An interactive comic book style game, heavily influenced by Florence, a beautiful title released in 2018 that won multiple awards....
